Wikipedia Writing

Writing a wikipedia stub was interesting in the least. It was incredibly difficult to find a stub in the first place which was relevant and interesting to me. Once I did, the rest was easy. I will admit the help screen was open in another window the entire time i was writing to make it easier to understand the script and the code of wikipedia. However I did figure out how to write properly eventually and the writing of a wikipedia stub commenced. Not going to lie though, It wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be. Somehow, adding to millions of people's writings just doesn't have the same ring to it when I actually went to do it.

However I do see the good in wikipedia. Although some people may change things based on bias or just for fun, the idea is good in the way that there is always someone who needs to find something quickly and easily and who may not have access to a peer reviewed journal. Wikipedia is perfect for people like this as it is free and easy to use. Also, regardless of what you are looking for, it is most likely that there is a wiki page dedicated to it.

So even though I have had multiple issues with seemingly all technology, I have decided Wikipedia is lovely and helpful. Helpful for people like me who can't turn on a DVD player without zapping herself, and lovely for everyone, tech savvy or not. Thank you Wikipedia for making my searches easier.
